You can check your order’s current status in your online account. If your books have not arrived within the quoted delivery time, you can enquire about the status of your order by emailing us at [email protected].
All orders will ship within three to five business days from the date of payment; this will be via standard mail, unless stated otherwise. Please notify us at the time of making the purchase whether priority or first-class mail is preferred. All larger packages will be sent via our chosen courier.

Payment must be made in full and have cleared before the item is shipped. If you are having any issues with payment, please do not hesitate to contact us, and we will assist you in any way we can.
Security of Credit Card Payment Options
This site uses encryption and secure (SSL certificated) servers to help ensure the privacy of any information that you provide. However, the security of information and payments transmitted via the internet cannot be guaranteed. Any losses incurred or sustained by users who transmit information by means of email or another internet link shall be borne solely and exclusively by such user, and in no event shall any such losses in whole or part be borne by The Little Hedgehog.
Responsibility for Local Taxes and Duties
The UK sales tax of value added tax (VAT) is not payable on books.

When we ship books for delivery outside the UK, the recipient is liable for any local taxes or import duties that may be payable. The Little Hedgehog can take no responsibility for this, and if the books are returned due to unpaid tax, the costs will not be refunded as the sale has been completed. The books can be re-dispatched with a further charge for dispatch at the customer’s request.
We recommend that you check with your local customs officials or post office for more information regarding importation taxes/duties that may be applicable to your online order.
Refunds and Exchange Policy Terms and Conditions
If you are unhappy with your order for any reason, please contact us within five working days of receiving your package. We will do our best to resolve the problem quickly. Refunds and exchanges are considered on a case-by-case basis.
We will provide you with a refund within 30 days of purchase if the book is returned to us in re-sellable condition and you have your receipt. (If the book is worn or has an inscription, it is ineligible for return.)
Your right to an exchange for faulty/damaged books has a return period greater than 60 days in accordance with your statutory rights.
We will refund to your original payment method.
A customer may cancel an order between placing the order and up to 14 days after receipt of the books. If the cancellation happens after the books have been dispatched, then a refund will be made within 14 days of the books being received back by The Little Hedgehog or within 14 days of receiving proof of postage from the customer, if that occurs earlier. The cost of returning the books to The Little Hedgehog will be borne by the customer. Please advise us of your intention to cancel using the email address of [email protected].
